THE VENUES FOR THE LUCCA SUMMER FESTIVAL 2023
The concerts of the Lucca Summer Festival 2023 will be held, as usual, in the historical center of the city, in Piazza Napoleone, Piazza San Martino or Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, or outside the historic walls of Lucca, in the former Ballila Field.
Sometimes, when the audience is very large, the Porta Elisa soccer stadium in Lucca or the Pini stadium in Viareggio are used.
The main venue of the festival will be Piazza Napoleone, also known as Piazza Grande, the main square of Lucca. The square is located inside the city walls, about 650 meters away from the Lucca railway station, or about 10 minutes on foot.
The former Balilla Field, the venue for the Celine Dion concert scheduled on July 15, 2023, is a former sports field located between Viale Giosuè Carducci and the 16th-century walls of the city. The Lucca railway station is located about 500 meters away.
