Starting with the post-war period, it was used as a sports field where the first local soccer championships were held. For several years, it has been used as a park.

The closest bus stop is Carducci 1, located near the field, on the bus Lines 5, 6, 51, 53, 55, 57, 59, LAM BLU, LAM ROSSA and LAM VERDE. The Lucca railway station is located about 500 meters away.
