    Milano Summer Festival 2019

    Milano Summer Festival is a music festival taking place every year, usually in June and July, in Milano. The festival brings to Milan some of the best-known artists of different music genres, spanning from rock to electronic dance music, jazz, blues, heavy metal and much more. Of the artists who performed in 2018, we can mention Marilyn Manson, Carlos Santana, Martin Garrix, Iron Maiden, Alice in Chains, The Chemical Brothers, Alanis Morissette and Robert Plant.   MILANO SUMMER FESTIVAL 2019 will begin earlier than usual. The first name announced for the 2019 edition is Metallica, who will play on May 8, at the Ippodromo Snai – San Siro.

    Lucca Summer Festival 2019

    Lucca Summer Festival is one of the most important music festivals in Italy, held every year in Lucca, usually during the month of July, since 1998. The concerts are usually held within the historic walls of Lucca, in Piazza Napoleone, Piazza San Martino or Piazza dell’Anfiteatro. Sometimes, when the audience is very large, it is preferred to use the Porta Elisa soccer stadium in Lucca or the Pini stadium in Viareggio. Over time, important bands and artists have attended the festival, such as David Bowie, Bob Dylan, James Brown, Mark Knopfler, Jamiroquai, Seal, Zucchero, Ray Charles, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Anastacia, Giorgia, Green Day, Ennio Morricone and the Rolling Stones. On 5 July 2009, the Dave Matthews Band held a concert of over three and a half hours, the longest performance of their career. On 23 September 2017, was held the historic Rolling Stones concert, the only Italian date of the No Filter European tour, which established the attendance record for this event, of about 55,000 people.     Scorpions – Crazy World Tour 2019

    The German rock band Scorpions will perform in Piazza Napoleone, the main square of Lucca, on Saturday, July 27, 2019, at the Lucca Summer Festival 2019, as part of their Crazy World tour.   THE BAND Scorpions was formed in 1965, in Hanover, by Rudolf Schenker. The lineup of the band from 1978 to 1992 was the most successful, and included Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker, Matthias Jabs, Francis Buchholz and Herman Rarebell. During the 1970s, the music of the Scorpions was defined as hard rock, and after 1978, the band changed its sound towards heavy metal. Their 11th studio album, Crazy World, released in 1990, included the song Wind of Change, a symbolic anthem of the political changes in Eastern Europe, becoming one of the best-selling singles in the world, with over 14 million copies sold.     Sting – My Songs Tour 2019

    Sting will perform on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at the Arena Live Ex Foro Boario, in Padua, as part of his My Songs tour.   THE ARTIST Sting was born in Newcastle, England, in 1951, and moved to London in 1977. In London, he formed the Police, together with Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers. The band released five albums, won 6 Grammys, 2 Brit Awards and in 2003 was included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Sting, as a solo artist, received 10 Grammy, 2 Brit Awards, 1 Golden Globe, 1 Emmy, 4 Oscar nominations, a TONY nomination, the Billboard Magazine’s Century Awards and the MusiCares Person of the Year in 2004.     Milano Rocks 2019

    Milano Rocks is a music festival which will take place on the last weekend of August, in 2019, at the AREA EXPO Experience, in Milan. The first edition of the festival took place in 2018, with a lineup which included names like Franz Ferdinand, Imagine Dragons, The National, Thirty Seconds To Mars and many more. This year, until now, the following artists were announced: Friday, August 30: the English indie rock band Florence + The Machine will share the stage with the English pop rock band The 1975; Saturday, August 31: the American duo Twenty One Pilots will perform along the American singer Billie Eilish.   THE VENUE AREA EXPO Experience is a park built in the area of Expo 2015, in Milan, inaugurated 6 months after the conclusion of the universal exhibition. The Area Expo Experience hosts sports events, cultural manifestations and concerts. The closest Metro stop is Rho Fiera Milano, on the Metro Line M1, located about 650 meters away. The closest bus station is Casa di Reclusione, about 200 meters away, on the bus Line 542.
