The festival began in Bologna in 1999 under the name Independent Days Festival. Its original programme focused mainly on punk, alternative rock, hardcore, ska and indie music. Venue – Ippodromo SNAI San Siro

Ippodromo SNAI San Siro is Milan’s historic gallop racecourse. A design competition for the new complex was launched in 1911 and won by architects Paolo Vietti Violi and Arrigo Cantoni. Construction began in 1914, stopped during the First World War and was completed in 1919.

The racecourse opened on April 25, 1920, welcoming around 10,000 visitors. Its original design included three grandstands, five racing tracks and a large botanical park. Vietti Violi used the Italian Liberty style, creating a sporting complex distinguished by elegant architecture and carefully planned open spaces.
