    Terravision Transfer Malpensa Airport-Milan

    The Italian coach services operator Terravision offers connections from the Malpensa Airport to Milan, and vice versa.   ROUTE At Malpensa, the Terravision bus stops outside Arrivals Exit 3, near the Terminal 1, and outside Arrivals stop 7, near the Terminal 2. A trip from Malpensa Airport to Milan takes about 50 minutes. In Milan, the bus stops in Via Giovanni Battista Sammartini, in Piazza Quattro Novembre, near the Milano Centrale train station. The departure to the airport is on the other side of the train station, in Piazza Luigi di Savoia.   TIMETABLE Every day, Terravision has 40 departures from Malpensa Airport to Milan, starting with 5.05 am. The last departure is at 12.10 am. From Milan to Malpensa Airport, there are 40 daily departures between 3.50 in the morning and 9.55 in the evening.   FARES A one-way ticket from Malpensa Airport to Milan and from Milan to Malpensa Airport costs 8€.     Milan Malpensa International Airport

    Milan Malpensa International Airport is the largest airport in Lombardy, and the main airport servicing Milan. The airport, located 49 kilometres northwest of Milan, has two terminals and two runways, as well as a dedicated cargo terminal.   SHORT HISTORY The first flight occurred here on May 27, 1910, when the Caproni brothers flew their flying machine. In the years that followed, the area was transformed into a more formal airfield, and the place developed into the largest aircraft production center in Italy. During the 1920s and 1930s, the airfield hosted two squadrons of the Italian Air Force. In September 1943, Malpensa airfield was taken over by Nazi Germany’s Luftwaffe, when the northern Italy was invaded by Hitler. Malpensa Airport commenced commercial operations on November 21, 1948. In 1952, the Municipality of Milan took control of the airport, and decided to develop Malpensa as an international and intercontinental gateway, while the other airport of Milan, Linate, would handle the domestic flights.   HOW TO GET THERE From Milan, you can reach the Malpensa Airport by coach, with one of the Terravision shuttle buses.
