THE FESTIVAL Formerly known as the Independent Days Festival, the I-Days Festival was born in 1999, in Bologna. The 2009 and 2018 editions were held in Milan and the 2016 edition took place in Monza. The British band Simply Red will perform on Monday, November 16, 2020, at the Mediolanum Forum, in Assago, part of the Metropolitan City of Milan. THE BAND Simply Red was formed in Manchester in 1985. Led by the vocalist Mick Hucknall, the band released their debut studio album, Picture Book, in the same year. Men and Women was released in 1987, A New Flame in 1989, Stars in 1991, Life in 1995, Blue in 1998, Love and the Russian Winter in 1999, Home in 2003, Simplified in 2005 and Stay in 2007. Simply Red disbanded in 2010, but the band was reformed in 2015 for a 30th anniversary European tour, the Big Love Tour 2015. A new album, Big Love, was released in 2015. The band’s twelfth studio album, Blue Eyed Soul, will be released in November 2019. THE VENUE Mediolanum Forum is an indoor sports arena located in Assago, 8 kilometers away from Milan. The Finnish band Nightwish will perform on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at the Lorenzini District, in Milan. THE BAND Nightwish is a symphonic metal band formed in 1996 by lead songwriter and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen, guitarist Emppu Vuorinen and former lead singer Tarja Turunen. The band soon picked up drummer Jukka Nevalainen and bassist Sami Vänskä after the release of their debut album, Angels Fall First, in 1997. In 2001, Vänskä was replaced by Marco Hietala, who also became the male vocalist.
