    About Electric Callboy

Electric Callboy is a German band formed in Castrop-Rauxel in 2010. The group originally worked under the name Eskimo Callboy and developed a style combining metalcore and post-hardcore instrumentation with electronic programming, dance rhythms, melodic choruses, harsh vocals, and deliberately humorous visual concepts.

The founding-era lineup produced a self-titled EP in 2010 before releasing the first full-length record, Bury Me in Vegas, in 2012. Early touring included performances in Germany, wider European dates, and visits to Japan, China, Russia, and the United States, giving the band an international touring base early in its career.

During the following decade, Electric Callboy expanded its audience through frequent releases and extensive touring. The group appeared at major festivals, including Wacken Open Air, and progressively moved from clubs to larger halls, festival stages, and arenas while retaining the combination of heavy guitar music and electronic production.

A significant lineup change occurred in 2020, when vocalist Sebastian “Sushi” Biesler left the band. Nico Sallach, previously the vocalist of To the Rats and Wolves, joined as the new clean vocalist. His arrival introduced the vocal partnership with Kevin Ratajczak that defines the band’s current front line.

The first release featuring Sallach was Hypa Hypa, issued in June 2020. Its music video marked a clearer emphasis on bright costumes, dance routines, comedy, and highly polished electronicore. The song became a major breakthrough and began the period that produced the band’s largest streaming, chart, and touring results.

In March 2022, the musicians changed their name from Eskimo Callboy to Electric Callboy. They explained that they had reconsidered the former name after learning that its first word could be regarded as an outdated and offensive term for Inuit and Yupik peoples. The change preserved the EC abbreviation used by the group.

As of 2026, the core lineup consists of Kevin Ratajczak on vocals, keyboards, and programming; Nico Sallach on vocals; Daniel Haniß on lead guitar; Pascal Schillo on rhythm guitar; and Daniel Klossek on bass and backing vocals. Long-serving drummer David-Karl Friedrich left in 2025, with Frank Zummo subsequently appearing as touring drummer.

Electric Callboy’s sound is commonly classified as electronicore and metalcore, with elements of post-hardcore, melodic metalcore, electro, and dubstep. The arrangements regularly contrast breakdowns and screamed passages with synthesizers, programmed beats, pop-oriented hooks, and dance sections, creating a recognizable heavy-electronic hybrid.

    Electric Callboy Discography

Electric Callboy’s first studio album, Bury Me in Vegas, was released on March 23, 2012, through Redfield Records. It established the early combination of metalcore, electronic sounds, and provocative humor. The record later entered the German album chart, where it reached number 65 following a subsequent chart appearance.

The second album, We Are the Mess, followed on January 10, 2014. Recorded at Kohlekeller Studios with producer Kristian Kohlmannslehner, it became the group’s first German Top 10 album, reaching number eight. It also charted in Austria, providing measurable evidence of the band’s growing Central European audience.

Crystals, released on March 20, 2015, continued that progression. The album reached number six in Germany, number 54 in Austria, and number 70 in Switzerland. Songs such as Crystals and Best Day, the latter featuring German rapper Sido, reflected the band’s increasingly polished production and broader collaborative approach.

The fourth studio album, The Scene, arrived on August 25, 2017, through People Like You and Century Media. It peaked at number six in Germany, number 14 in Austria, and number 89 in Switzerland. Its singles included The Scene, MC Thunder, and VIP, supported by strongly stylized music videos.

Electric Callboy released Rehab on November 1, 2019. The album reached number 16 in Germany and number 65 in Austria. It was the final studio album featuring Sebastian Biesler as a member and was followed by the 2019 European tour carrying the record’s name.

The lineup’s transition was documented on the EP MMXX, released on September 11, 2020. It contained Hypa Hypa, Hate/Love, and MC Thunder II (Dancing Like a Ninja). The EP reached number ten in Germany and introduced the musical and visual direction later developed on Tekkno.

Tekkno was released on September 16, 2022, and became Electric Callboy’s most successful album. It entered the German album chart at number one, while also reaching number three in Austria, number six in Switzerland, number nine in Flanders, number 13 in Finland, and number 27 in the Netherlands.

The album includes We Got the Moves, Pump It, Spaceman, Fckboi, Hurrikan, Arrow of Love, Mindreader, and Tekkno Train. Spaceman, recorded with Finch, and Pump It both reached number 31 in Germany, while the album’s combination of metalcore and dance music became its commercial breakthrough formula.

In 2023, the band released a cover of Cascada’s Everytime We Touch, followed in 2024 by Ratatata, a collaboration with Babymetal. Ratatata charted in Germany and Austria and reached the United Kingdom’s rock chart and the United States Hard Rock Songs ranking, extending the group’s cross-market visibility.

The seventh studio album, Tanzneid, is scheduled for August 7, 2026. Its campaign has included the title track, Elevator Operator, Revery, Hypercharged, Let the Good Times Roll with The Offspring, and The Way You Are. The 2027 Assago concert belongs to the world tour supporting this album cycle.

    Electric Callboy Awards and Sales

Electric Callboy won the Up and Coming Award at the German Metal Hammer Awards in 2013. The prize recognized the group during the period surrounding its first two studio albums, before later releases brought sustained Top 10 chart positions and a substantially larger international touring operation.

Electric Callboy won Best Video at the Heavy Music Awards in 2022 for Pump It. The video was directed by Pascal Schillo and Oliver Schillo. The band then won Best International Live Artist at the same awards in both 2023 and 2024, reflecting its growing reputation as an arena and festival act.

The group also received multiple Impericon Awards connected with its music videos. Hypa Hypa won Best Video in 2020, We Got the Moves won Best Music Video in 2021, and Everytime We Touch won the corresponding category in 2023. These results underline the importance of visual production to its success.

According to the band’s official biography, Hypa Hypa, We Got the Moves, and Pump It have achieved gold certification, while Tekkno is described as a gold-certified number-one album. Official chart records confirm that Tekkno reached the top position in Germany and remained on the national chart for multiple weeks.

The same official biography states that Tekkno has approached one billion streams. It also reports more than 200,000 tickets sold for the Tekkno World Tour, demonstrating the scale of the audience reached after the 2020 lineup change and the release of the band’s sixth studio album.

Electric Callboy’s own Escalation Fest has sold out with approximately 11,000 attendees per edition, while the Tekkno Movie was screened in more than 100 cinemas worldwide. The band also reports hundreds of millions of streams for later viral releases and chart activity across more than 40 countries.

    Venue – Unipol Forum

The Unipol Forum is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Assago, approximately eight kilometres southwest of central Milan. Completed in 1990, it was designed for major sporting events, concerts, and large entertainment productions. Its early program included ice hockey, basketball, tennis, skating, and international competitions staged on different surfaces.

The building’s innovative design received the 1994 European Architecture Award for Sporting Venues, presented by CONI and the Council of Europe. The complex has a volume of about 450,000 cubic metres, more than 40,000 square metres of covered space, and an arena arranged across three principal levels.

The commonly stated seated capacity is approximately 12,700, while the venue’s official description gives a maximum capacity of up to 15,800 spectators depending on the event configuration. The building also contains VIP areas known as SkyPoint and SkyBox and operates as one of Italy’s principal large indoor venues.

Music has formed a central part of the Forum’s program since the early 1990s. Frank Sinatra performed there in 1991, and the venue later hosted major international touring artists including U2 and Madonna, together with leading Italian performers. Its adaptable floor and seating layouts support different concert configurations.

Unipol Forum stands at Via Giuseppe Di Vittorio 6, 20057 Assago, close to the A7 Milan-Genoa motorway and Milan’s western ring road. The arena is part of a wider sports and leisure complex that includes fitness facilities, ice sports, aquatic activities, bowling, and outdoor recreational areas.

How to Get to the Unipol Forum

The simplest public-transport route from Milan is Metro Line M2, the green line, toward Assago. Passengers must choose a train whose destination is Assago Milanofiori Forum, rather than the branch terminating at Abbiategrasso. The venue’s dedicated terminal station is approximately 450 metres from the arena.

From central Milan, the official venue information describes Assago Milanofiori Forum as seven stops from Cadorna FN. The M2 line also connects with important interchange stations such as Milano Centrale, Garibaldi FS, Porta Genova FS, and Romolo, allowing straightforward connections from rail and urban transport services.

Under the current fare system, travelers should use a ticket valid for the required Mi1-Mi3 fare zones, because Assago lies outside the central Mi1 zone. ATM recommends checking its website or mobile application before major events, since service arrangements and closing times can vary for concerts at the Forum.

For the Electric Callboy concert, drivers can reach the venue from the A7 Milan-Genoa motorway or Milan’s Tangenziale Ovest, using the Assago-Milanofiori exit. Because traffic increases around major events, the metro is generally the most direct option. Visitors should verify event-day parking arrangements and transport schedules before departure.
