Pat Metheny – Side-Eye World Tour 2023

Besides the concert in Lucca, Pat Metheny will also appear on stage in Udine, on July 18.

PAT METHENY

Patrick Bruce Metheny is an American jazz guitarist and composer. He is the leader of the Pat Metheny Group and is also involved in duets, solo works, and other side projects.

Pat Metheny’s style incorporates elements of progressive and contemporary jazz, latin jazz, and jazz fusion. He has three gold albums and 20 Grammy Awards.

As a solo artist, his discography consists of 11 studio albums, 4 live albums, 3 soundtracks and 4 compilation albums. With the Pat Metheny Group, he released 12 albums.

LUCCA SUMMER FESTIVAL

The first edition of the Lucca Summer Festival was held in 1998, when Bob Dylan, George Benson and Joe Cocker performed on stage.

Over time, important names attended the festival, such as David Bowie, James Brown, Mark Knopfler, Jamiroquai, Seal, Ray Charles, Elton John, Paul Simon, Rod Stewart, Oasis, Green Day, Ennio Morricone, The Rolling Stones, Sting, Scorpions, Joan Baez, Natalie Cole, and Eagles.

As usual, the Lucca Summer Festival 2023 will take place during the summer months in Lucca. So far, besides Pat Metheny, artists like KISS, The Chemical Brothers, Simply Red, Blur, Norah Jones and OneRepublic were confirmed for the 2023 edition of the Lucca Summer Festival.

THE VENUE

Piazza Napoleone is the main square of Lucca, and one of the venues where, every year in the summer, is held one of the most important music festivals in Italy, the Lucca Summer Festival.

Piazza Napoleone is located inside the city walls of Lucca, about 650 meters away from the Lucca railway station. The closest bus stop is Napoleone, located in the northwestern corner of the square, on the bus Lines 5, LAM Blu and LAM Verde.
