The English singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran will perform on Friday, 14 June 2019, at the Visarno Arena, in the Parco delle Cascine, in Florence.
Ed Sheeran released his debut album, +, in September 2011, and the album topped the UK, Australian and US charts, being certified seven-times platinum in the UK. In 2012, Sheeran won the Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. The single The A Team was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards.
His second studio album, x, was released in June 2014, and it peaked at number one in the UK and the US. In 2015, x won the Brit Award for Album of the Year. The single Thinking Out Loud earned him two Grammy Awards at the 2016 ceremony – Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Sheeran’s third album, ÷, was released in March 2017, and it debuted at number one in the UK and the US. In April 2018, ÷ was named the best-selling album worldwide of 2017.

Firenze Rocks is a rock music festival that takes place every year in the month of June, since 2017, at the Visarno Arena, in Florence.
Firenze Rocks 2019 will take place between 13 and 16 June. So far, for the third edition of the festival, two names have been announced. Besides Ed Sheeran, the The Cure will also perform on Sunday, June 16.

Visarno Arena can be reached on foot or with public transport from the center of Florence. The closest bus station is Shelley, about 150 meters away, on the bus Line 55, but you can also take the bus 17 and get off at Cascine 02, about 300 meters away from the Visarno Arena.
