Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the concert, initially planned for May 12, 2020, and then postponed to May 26, 2021, and to May 24, 2022, was rescheduled to April 30, 2023. He began playing the guitar at age 14, influenced by Jimi Hendrix. A few years later, he began taking jazz lessons. In 1988, Satriani was recruited by Mick Jagger as lead guitarist for his solo tour. The artist briefly toured with Deep Purple, joining shortly after the departure of Ritchie Blackmore in 1993.
