    Giorgio Moroder – The Celebration of the 80s Tour 2019

    Giorgio Moroder, the legendary producer, will perform on Saturday, 18 May 2019, at the Nelson Mandela Forum, in Florence, as part of his The Celebration of the 80s Tour. Known by many as the godfather of the disco music, if not even the founder of the electronic dance, Giorgio Moroder, at the age of 78, is ready to start a tour that will touch 15 European cities between April and May 2019. The Celebration of the 80’s will see the Italian singer-songwriter, producer and DJ, exhibit the highlights of his prolific career in a spectacular show. Moroder had an important influence in the music industry for over 55 years, starting in 1963. He was the first to put dance music on a repetitive percussive beat and to abandon the laws of harmony by inserting the synthesizer in his musical projects. The first recognition came in the 70’s with the music and production for Donna Summer (I Feel Love, On the Radio and Love to Love You Baby).     Firenze Rocks 2019

    Firenze Rocks is a rock music festival that takes place every year in the month of June at the Visarno Arena, in the Parco delle Cascine, in Florence. Placebo, Aerosmith and System of a Down were just a few of the names who attended the first edition of the festival, in 2017. In 2018, in front of over 210,000 spectators, The Kills, Foo Fighters, Guns N’ Roses, Helloween, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Ozzy Osbourne appeared on stage.   FIRENZE ROCKS 2019, the third edition of the festival, will take place between 13 and 16 June. The first name announced is the English band The Cure, who will play on Sunday, June 16, at the Visarno Arena. To date, the band sold around 27 million records and released thirteen studio albums, ten EPs and over thirty singles. The second name that appears on the festival poster is Ed Sheeran, who will play on Friday, June 14, at the same Visarno Arena. The Cure are a rock band formed in Crawley, West Sussex, in 1976. Their debut album, Three Imaginary Boys, was released in 1979. Between 1980 and 2008, the band released another 12 studio albums: Seventeen Seconds (1980), Faith (1981), Pornography (1982), The Top (1984), The Head on the Door (1985), Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me (1987), Disintegration (1989), Wish (1992), Wild Mood Swings (1996), Bloodflowers (2000), The Cure (2004) and 4:13 Dream (2008).
