    The English progressive rock band Yes will perform on Saturday, May 13, 2023, starting with 9.00 pm, at Auditorium della Conciliazione, in Rome, as part of The Album Series Tour 2023.

    Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the concert was postponed from April 29, 2020, first to April 17, 2021, then to May 17, 2022, and finally to May 13, 2023. Tickets already purchased remain valid for the new date.

    Besides the concert in Rome, Yes will also perform on May 11, 2023, at Gran Teatro Geox, in Padua, and on May 12, 2023, at Teatro dal Verme, in Milan.

     

    THE ARTIST

    Yes was formed in London in 1968 by lead singer and frontman Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Peter Banks, keyboardist Tony Kaye and drummer Bill Bruford.

    The band undergone numerous line-up changes throughout their history. Since May 2022, the band consists of guitarist Steve Howe, keyboardist Geoff Downes, singer Jon Davison, and bassist Billy Sherwood.

    Over the years, the band released 22 studio albums, 18 live albums, 37 compilation albums, 39 singles, and 22 videos.

    Yes are one of the most successful and longest-lasting progressive rock bands in the world. To date, they sold 13.5 million RIAA-certified albums in the US, and more than 30 million albums worldwide.

    In 1985, they won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance, and received five Grammy nominations between 1985 and 1992. They were ranked No. 94 on VH1’s 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.

    In April 2017, Yes was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, with current and former members Anderson, Squire, Bruford, Kaye, Howe, Wakeman, White, and Rabin.

     

    THE VENUE

    Auditorium della Conciliazione (originally, Auditorium Pio) is a multifunctional complex in Rome, created to host musical, cultural and artistic events of various types. It was inaugurated in 1950.

    It is located in the Borgo district, in Via della Conciliazione, near the Vatican. The closest Metro station is Ottaviano, located about 1 kilometer away, on the Metro Line A. The closest bus stop is in Piazza Pia, on the bus Lines 23, 40, 62, 280 and 982.
