About
Milano Summer Festival 2022 will be held during the months of June and July, 2022, at the San Siro Racetrack (Ippodromo Snai – San Siro), in Milan.
THE FESTIVAL
The festival brings to Milan some of the best-known artists of different music genres, spanning from rock to electronic dance music, jazz, blues, heavy metal and more.
Of the artists who performed in 2018, we can mention Marilyn Manson, Carlos Santana, Martin Garrix, Iron Maiden, Alice in Chains, The Chemical Brothers, Alanis Morissette and Robert Plant. In 2019, the lineup of the festival featured, among others, Metallica, KISS, Calcutta and Ben Harper.
Both Milano Summer Festival 2020 and 2021 were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Green Day concert originally scheduled on June 10, 2020, and then moved to June 16, 2021, was rescheduled for June 15, 2022. Weezer was confirmed as Green Day’s special guests in Milan. If you already bought tickets for this event, these will be valid for the new date in Milan.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Thom Yorke concert originally scheduled on July 9, 2020, and then rescheduled for July 8, 2021, at Lorenzini District, in Milan, was canceled.
THE LINEUP
So far, the artists announced for the 2022 edition of the Milano Summer Festival are:
- June 7: Korn
- June 15: Green Day, Weezer
- June 24: Brunori Sas
- June 29: Alice Cooper, with special guest Michael Monroe
- July 7: The Chemical Brothers
- July 17: Gazzelle
- September 3: Louis Tomlinson
THE VENUEThe San Siro Racetrack, dating back to the 1920s and renovated in 1975, can be considered a monument of national interest. The area, dedicated to live concerts and equestrian sport, is located on the outskirts of Milano, in Piazzale dello Sport.
The closest Metro Station is San Siro Ippodromo, on the Metro Line M5, about 650 meters away, or about 8 minutes on foot from the San Siro Racetrack.
