Green Day will perform on Sunday, June 15, 2025, starting with 4.00 pm, at the Visarno Arena, in Parco delle Cascine, in Florence.
The concert is part of their The Saviors Tour 2025, and will be held in the last day of Firenze Rocks 2025.
GREEN DAY
Green Day was formed in 1986 by lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist Mike Dirnt. In 1990, the band co-opted the drummer Tré Cool.
The band released their debut album, 39/Smooth, in 1990, and their second album, Kerplunk, in 1991.
Their third album, Dookie, was released in 1994 and it was a breakout success, selling over 10 million copies in the United States and 20 million copies worldwide.
The band’s fourth studio album, Insomniac, was released in 1995, and their fifth album, Nimrod, in 1997.
Their sixth album, Warning, was released in 2000, and the band’s seventh studio album, American Idiot, in 2004.
The band’s eighth studio album, 21st Century Breakdown, followed in 2009. A trilogy of albums, ¡Uno!, ¡Dos! and ¡Tré!, was released in 2012.
In 2016, another studio album, Revolution Radio, was released.
Father of All…, their thirteenth album, was released in 2020, while Saviors, the fourteenth studio album of the band was released on January 19, 2024.
Over time, Green Day released 14 studio albums, three live albums, five compilation albums, one soundtrack album, four video albums, ten extended plays, four box sets, forty-three singles, ten promotional singles and forty-four music videos.
Green Day sold over 85 million records worldwide, of which more than 24 million in the United States alone.
The band won five Grammy Awards: Best Alternative Album for Dookie, Best Rock Album for American Idiot, Record of the Year for Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Best Rock Album for the second time for 21st Century Breakdown, and Best Musical Show Album for American Idiot: The Original Broadway Cast Recording.
FIRENZE ROCKS 2025
Firenze Rocks is not just another music festival. It’s an electrifying celebration of sound, culture, and history that resonates through the cobblestone streets of the iconic city of Florence.
The festival takes place every year in Florence since 2017. The first edition of Firenze Rocks brought on stage names like Placebo, Aerosmith and System of a Down.
In 2018, in front of over 210,000 spectators, The Kills, Foo Fighters, Guns N’ Roses, Helloween, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Ozzy Osbourne appeared on stage.

VISARNO ARENA
Visarno Arena is located in the Cascine Park, in Florence. Surrounded by nature, the area is a perfect summer venue for concerts, music festivals and other kind of events.
The arena is reachable on foot or by public transport from the center of Florence.
The closest bus stop is Shelley, about 150 meters away, on the bus Line 55, but you can also use the bus 17, getting off at Cascine 02, a bus stop located about 300 meters away from the Visarno Arena.
The closest tram stop is Cascine, located about 600 meters away, on the tram Lines T1.3 and T2.
