The English singer Thom Yorke will perform on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at the Ippodromo Snai – San Siro, in Milan, as part of the Milano Summer Festival 2020.
THE ARTIST
Thom Yorke is known as the vocalist and main songwriter of the rock band Radiohead. A multi-instrumentalist, he also plays guitar and keyboards. Along with the other members of Radiohead, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.
Yorke’s debut solo album, The Eraser, was released in 2006. His second solo album, Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes, was released in 2014, followed by Anima in 2019.
THE FESTIVAL
The festival brings to Milan some of the best-known artists of different music genres, spanning from rock to electronic dance music, jazz, blues, and much more.
Of the artists who performed in the past editions of the Milano Summer Festival, we can mention Marilyn Manson, Carlos Santana, Martin Garrix, Iron Maiden, Alice in Chains, The Chemical Brothers, Alanis Morissette, Robert Plant, Metallica and KISS.
THE VENUE
The San Siro Racetrack dates back to the 1920s, was renovated in 1975 and it can be considered a monument of national interest. The area, dedicated to live concerts and equestrian sport, is located on the outskirts of Milano, in Piazzale dello Sport.
The closest Metro Station is San Siro Ippodromo, on the Metro Line M5, about 650 meters away or about 8 minutes on foot from the San Siro Racetrack.
