Milano Rocks is a music festival which will take place on the last weekend of August, in 2019, at the AREA EXPO Experience, in Milan.
The first edition of the festival took place in 2018, with a lineup which included names like Franz Ferdinand, Imagine Dragons, The National, Thirty Seconds To Mars and many more.
This year, until now, the following artists were announced:
- Friday, August 30: the English indie rock band Florence + The Machine will share the stage with the English pop rock band The 1975;
- Saturday, August 31: the American duo Twenty One Pilots will perform along the American singer Billie Eilish.
THE VENUE
AREA EXPO Experience is a park built in the area of Expo 2015, in Milan, inaugurated 6 months after the conclusion of the universal exhibition. The Area Expo Experience hosts sports events, cultural manifestations and concerts.
The closest Metro stop is Rho Fiera Milano, on the Metro Line M1, located about 650 meters away. The closest bus station is Casa di Reclusione, about 200 meters away, on the bus Line 542.

Great concert but organisation and treatment of fans dreadful! Food was only available for purchase with tokens, €2 each. I am a vegetarian and was given a panini with a small amount of grilled peppers, onions and a piece of lettuce for €7!
The water situation was criminal as no water was given to fans who were squashed against the fence for hours in extreme heat! The only water had to be purchased from vendors walking around with bottled water but again this required the purchase of tokens which was impossible if trapped in the pit!
I have never seen this at a concert or festival water is always provided free of charge!
