La Festa di Roma 2018

La Festa di Roma 2018 will be a great collective and free event, with the involvement of 1,000 artists from all over the world and a program of over 100 performances including theater, music, cinema, dance, circus and art, all accompanied by light installations, video-mapping works and impressive scenes by the Teatro dell’Opera, that will redesign the city in a surprising way.

The event, conceived by Roma Capitale, will animate the historic center from 9.30 pm on December 31, 2017, to 9 pm on January 1, 2018, on a pedestrian area that goes from Piazza dell’Emporio to Ponte Garibaldi, involving the Giardino degli Aranci and the Circo Massimo up to the Bocca della Verità.

The event on the night of December 31 will take place under the name 201∞ Rome Illumina L’Infinito.  The acrobatic group La Fura dels Baus will animate a giant mythological marionette to the rhythm of the songs mixed by the DJs of Radio Dimensione Suono.

But the New Year’s Eve does not stop only at the Circus Maximus. Many events will take place in many places, such as movie marathons, the children’s New Year at the Giardino degli Aranci, the dawn at the Ponte della Scienza with a “salute to the sun” played at the piano and so much more…
