The American singer Tori Amos will perform on Thursday, April 13, 2023, starting with 9:00 pm, at Teatro degli Arcimboldi, in Milan.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the concert initially scheduled for February 24, 2022, was rescheduled to April 13, 2023. Tickets already purchased remain valid for the new date.
Tori Amos was born on August 22, 1963, in Newton, North Carolina. Her musical career began in 1980, at the age of seventeen, when she and her brother co-wrote the song Baltimore. Between 1984 and 1989, Tori Amos fronted the synth-pop band Y Kant Tori Read, which released one self-titled album in 1988, before breaking up.
Tori Amos solo career began in October 1991, with the release of the Me and a Gun EP. Her debut studio album, Little Earthquakes, was released in 1992. To date, she released a total of 15 solo studio albums, multiple live releases, three compilation albums, and numerous singles and EPs.
Her charting singles include Crucify, Cornflake Girl, Professional Widow, Spark, 1000 Oceans, Flavor, and A Sorta Fairytale, her most commercially successful single to date. Amos received five MTV VMA nominations and eight Grammy Award nominations, and won an Echo Klassik award for her Night of Hunters classical crossover album.
Ocean to Ocean is the upcoming 16th studio album by Tori Amos, scheduled to be released on October 29, 2021. Amos will support the album with a UK and Europe tour in February and March 2022.
Teatro degli Arcimboldi is a theater and opera house located in Viale dell’Innovazione, 20, in an area known as Bicocca, in Milan. The 2,375-seat auditorium was built over a 27-month period, in anticipation of the closure and renovation of La Scala theater in 2001.
The theater is located about 200 meters away from the Milano Greco Pirelli railway station. The closest bus stop is Teatro Arcimboldi, on the bus Line 87, about 40 meters away.
