The Skatalites

The Jamaican ska band The Skatalites will play on Friday, October 12, 2018, at Estragon Club, in Bologna.

The Skatalites began performing in Jamaica in May 1964. At that time, they were the top musicians on the island, gathered together after playing in different bands. In 1965, the band broke up. After an almost 20 year hiatus, The Skatalites reunited in 1983, played together ever since.

Featuring original vocalist Doreen Shaffer, along with the current lineup of outstanding musicians, the band proudly presents live music of Jamaican Ska.

For the last 20 years, Estragon Club is known in Italy and Europe for its production of musical events. Located in Parco Nord area, the club is easy to reach, both from Bologna center or from outside the city.

HOW TO GET THERE

The simplest option is by taxi, but if you want to use the bus, take the bus 68 to Camping Citta’ Di Bologna, about 500 meters away from the club. Another nearby station is Parco Nord, about 800 meters away, on the bus line 410.
