About
The concert of the English singer Ozzy Osbourne scheduled for Friday, May 12, 2023, starting with 7.30 pm, at the Unipol Arena, in Casalecchio di Reno, near Bologna, as part of his No More Tours II tour, was cancelled.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the concert was postponed from March 10, 2020, first to November 19, 2020, then to February 8, 2022, and finally to May 12, 2023. You can find more information about refunds here.
THE ARTIST
John Michael Osbourne rose to prominence in the 1970s as the vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath. In 1979, he was kicked out of the band due to drug problems, and he started a solo career, releasing 12 studio albums to date. Besides the 12 studio albums, during his career, he released five live albums, seven compilation albums, five extended plays (EPs), 63 singles, nine video albums and 39 music videos.
Over time, both in Black Sabbath and as a solo artist, Ozzy Osbourne sold over 100 million albums. In 2006, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Black Sabbath. In 2015, Osbourne received the Ivor Novello Award for Lifetime Achievement from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors.
In the 2000s, Ozzy Osbourne became a reality television star, appearing in the MTV reality show The Osbournes, alongside wife and manager Sharon and two of their three children, Kelly and Jack. He co-stars with Jack and Kelly in the television series Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour.
THE VENUE
Unipol Arena is an indoor arena opened in 1993, located in Casalecchio di Reno, about 6 kilometers away from Bologna. The arena has a capacity of 18,000 seats.
From Bologna, you can reach the arena by train. From Bologna Centrale, you can take the train to the Casalecchio Palasport railway station, located about 100 meters away from the Unipol Arena. You can also get there by bus, with one of the extraurban bus Lines 83, 94 and 671.
