The Chemical Brothers – No Geography Tour 2022

The Chemical Brothers, the electronic music duo composed of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, will perform on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the Palanord, in Bologna, as part of the Bologna Sonic Park 2022.

Besides the concert in Bologna, The Chemical Brothers will also appear on stage in Milan, on July 7, 2022, at the Milano Summer Festival 2022, and in Rome, on July 8, 2022, at the Rock in Roma Festival 2022.

THE BAND

The Chemical Brothers was formed in Manchester in 1989, by Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons.

The duo released their debut album, Exit Planet Dust, in 1995, but they achieved widespread success with their second album, Dig Your Own Hole, which topped the UK charts in 1997. Surrender was released in 1999, Come with Us in 2002, Push the Button in 2005, We Are the Night in 2007, Further in 2010 and Born in the Echoes in 2015.

The Chemical Brothers’ ninth studio album, No Geography, was released on April 12, 2019, to critical acclaim. To date, they had six number one albums and 13 top 20 singles in the UK.

THE FESTIVAL

Bologna Sonic Park is a rock music festival which took place for the first time in 2019. The lineup for the first edition of the festival included names like Slipknot, Amon Amarth, Testament, Skunk Anansie, Weezer, Greta Van Fleet and Bring Me the Horizon.

The 2020 edition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the festival was first postponed to 2021, and then rescheduled to 2022. All the artists initially planned for the 2020 edition of Bologna Sonic Park (My Chemical Romance, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden and The Chemical Brothers) confirmed their presence for the 2022 edition of the festival.

THE VENUE

Palanord is an event space and concert hall in Bologna, located in the Parco Nord area. The hall is close to the natural amphitheater Arena Parco Nord, another venue of the Bologna Sonic Park 2020.
