Bologna Sonic Park 2022

The rock festival Bologna Sonic Park 2022 will be held during the months of June and July, 2022, in the Parco Nord area, in Bologna.

THE FESTIVAL

Bologna Sonic Park is a rock music festival which took place for the first time in 2019. The lineup for the first edition of the festival included names like Slipknot, Amon Amarth, Testament, Skunk Anansie, Weezer, Greta Van Fleet and Bring Me the Horizon.

The 2020 edition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the festival was first postponed to 2021, and then rescheduled to 2022. All the artists initially planned for the 2020 edition of Bologna Sonic Park (My Chemical Romance, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden and The Chemical Brothers) confirmed their presence for the 2022 edition of the festival.

THE LINEUP

The festival will display a truly heterogeneous lineup ranging from the metal legends Iron Maiden, to one of the pioneers of heavy metal and modern hard rock, Deep Purple, to My Chemical Romance, a symbolic band of the emo generation engaged in the highly anticipated reunion tour, and further to The Chemical Brothers, pioneers in bringing the big beat genre to the forefront of pop culture.

New names will be announced in the following months for the lineup of the 2022 edition of the Bologna Sonic Park festival.

THE VENUE

Arena Parco Nord is a natural amphitheater located in Bologna, used primarily for open-air concerts. The amphitheater served as the venue for the Independent Days Festival since 1999, a music festival which today is held in Milan under the name of I-Days Festival.
