Blind Guardian – The God Machine Tour 2023

Blind Guardian will perform on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, starting with 8.00 pm, at the Alcatraz Club, in Milan. The concert is part of their The God Machine Tour 2023.

Besides the concert in Milan, Blind Guardian will also appear on stage in Rome, on October 4, 2023.

BLIND GUARDIAN

Blind Guardian is a German power metal band formed in 1984 in Krefeld, Germany.

The band’s current lineup consists of singer Hansi Kürsch, guitarists André Olbrich and Marcus Siepen, drummer Frederik Ehmke, and bassist Johan Van Stratum.

In 1988, the band released their first album, Battalions of Fear. Since then, they released eleven more studio albums, including an orchestral album that was released under the name Blind Guardian Twilight Orchestra.

Their last album to date is The God Machine, released on September 2, 2022.

Most of Blind Guardian’s albums were well received by fans and critics alike. Somewhere Far Beyond, released in 1992, Imaginations from the Other Side, released in 1995, and Nightfall in Middle-Earth, released in 1998, are seen as influential works.

Their music is mostly composed by Kürsch and Olbrich, and the lyrics, written by Kürsch, are mostly inspired by the fiction of fantasy authors such as J. R. R. Tolkien, Michael Moorcock, Stephen King, George R. R. Martin and Robert Jordan.
 

THE VENUE

Alcatraz, one of the most famous clubs in Milan, is housed in a structure built in 1946. The space was completely modernized between 1997 and 1998, and became a venue for events, exhibitions and musical performances.

The closest bus and tram stop is in Via Bernina, about 190 meters away, on the bus Lines 91 and 92, and the tram Lines 2 and 12.

The closest Metro station is Maciachini, located about 400 meters away, on the Metro Line 3.
