    The Offspring will perform on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, starting with 7:30 pm, at the Park Nord Stadio Euganeo, in Padua, as part of the Sherwood Festival 2022. The opening acts are Lagwagon & Anti Flag.

    The concert, initially planned for June 24, 2020, was postponed to June 23, 2021, and then to June 22, 2022. Tickets already purchased remain valid for the new date.

     

    THE BAND

    The Offspring is an American punk rock band formed in 1984, in Garden Grove, California. The band’s lineup consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Bryan Dexter Holland, bassist Todd Morse and lead guitarist Kevin Noodles Wasserman.

    The Offspring released their self-titled debut album in 1989, the second one, Ignition, in 1992, and their third album, Smash, in 1994, which sold over 11 million copies worldwide.

    Ixnay on the Hombre was released in 1997, Americana in 1998, selling over five million units in the US, Conspiracy of One in 2000, Splinter in 2003, Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace in 2008, Days Go By in 2012, and Let the Bad Times Roll in 2021.

    To date, the band sold over 40 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling punk rock bands in history.

     

    THE FESTIVAL

    Sherwood Festival is held Padua since the early ‘90s. More than two decades after its debut, the festival gained such a strenght, that tens of thousands of people wait for it every year, and begin their summer with it.

    Among the numerous artists who performed on the Sherwood stage during the past editions of the festival, we can mention Manu Chao, Cypress Hill, Public Enemy, Gogol Bordello, Pat Metheney, Prodigy, Mogwai, Shaggy, Alborosie, Alpha Blondy, Fatboy Slim, Die Antwoord, General Levy, Blonde Redhead, Alice in Chains, Shantel, Sepultura, and Dubioza Kolektiv.

     

    THE VENUE

    Park Nord is a parking lot located north of Stadio Euganeo, a football stadium in the northern area of Padua.

    To reach the venue, from the center of Padua, you can take the bus U11 towards Taggi and get off in Via Montà, then continue on foot along Via Croce Verde towards Stadio Euganeo. Alternatively, take the bus U13 towards Altichiero and get off in Via Sacro Cuore, then continue on foot along Via Due Palazzi towards Stadio Euganeo.
