About
Sherwood Festival 2022 will take place during the months of June and July, 2022, at the Park Nord Stadio Euganeo, in Padua.
THE FESTIVAL
Sherwood Festival is held Padua since the early ‘90s. More than two decades after its debut, the festival gained such a strenght, that tens of thousands of people wait for it every year, and begin their summer with it.
Sherwood is an independent festival, an event growing every year in terms of participation and cultural offer. The 30 days of concerts, debates, film screenings, exhibitions, are made possible by the work of hundreds of volunteers, who every year make themselves available for the realization of the festival.
Among the numerous artists who performed on the Sherwood stage during the past editions of the festival, we can mention Manu Chao, Cypress Hill, Public Enemy, Gogol Bordello, Pat Metheney, Prodigy, Mogwai, Shaggy, Alborosie, Alpha Blondy, Fatboy Slim, Die Antwoord, General Levy, Blonde Redhead, Alice in Chains, Shantel, Sepultura, and Dubioza Kolektiv.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 edition of the festival was canceled, and the 2021 edition was limited, without big names on the main stage.
