Green Day will perform on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, starting with 6.00 pm, at the San Siro Racetrack, in Milan, as part of the Milano Summer Festival 2022. The concert is included in the European leg of the Hella Mega Tour 2022, in which Green Day is accompanied by Weezer and Fall Out Boy.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the concert, originally scheduled on June 10, 2020, and then moved to June 16, 2021, was rescheduled for June 15, 2022. If you already bought tickets for this concert, these will be valid for the event on June 15, 2022.
THE BAND
Green Day was formed in 1986 by lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist Mike Dirnt. Four years later, the band co-opted the drummer Tré Cool.
Over time, the band released 12 studio albums, 3 live albums, 5 compilation albums, 1 soundtrack album, 4 video albums, 10 extended plays, 4 box sets, 43 singles, 10 promotional singles and 44 music videos.
Green Day sold over 85 million records worldwide, including 24 million in the United States alone. The band won five Grammy Awards: Best Alternative Album for Dookie, Best Rock Album for American Idiot, Record of the Year for Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Best Rock Album for the second time for 21st Century Breakdown, and Best Musical Show Album for American Idiot: The Original Broadway Cast Recording.
THE FESTIVAL
The festival brings to Milan some of the best-known artists of different music genres, spanning from rock to electronic dance music, jazz, blues, and much more.
Of the artists who performed in the past editions of the Milano Summer Festival, we can mention Marilyn Manson, Carlos Santana, Martin Garrix, Iron Maiden, Alice in Chains, The Chemical Brothers, Alanis Morissette, Robert Plant, Metallica and KISS.
THE VENUE
The San Siro Racetrack (Ippodromo Snai – San Siro) dates back to the 1920s, was renovated in 1975, and it can be considered a monument of national interest. The area, dedicated to live concerts and equestrian sport, is located on the outskirts of Milan, in Piazzale dello Sport.
The closest Metro Station is San Siro Ippodromo, on the Metro Line M5, about 650 meters away or about 8 minutes on foot from the San Siro Racetrack.
