    The English progressive rock band Yes will perform on Friday, May 12, 2023, starting with 9.00 pm, at Teatro Dal Verme, in Milan, as part of The Album Series Tour 2023.

    Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the concert was postponed from April 28, 2020, first to April 16, 2021, then to May 16, 2022, and finally to May 12, 2023. Tickets already purchased remain valid for the new date.

    Besides the concert in Milan, Yes will also perform on May 11, 2023, at Gran Teatro Geox, in Padua, and on May 13, 2023, at Auditorium Conciliazione, in Rome.

     

    THE ARTIST

    Yes was formed in London in 1968 by lead singer and frontman Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Peter Banks, keyboardist Tony Kaye and drummer Bill Bruford.

    The band undergone numerous line-up changes throughout their history. Since May 2022, the band consists of guitarist Steve Howe, keyboardist Geoff Downes, singer Jon Davison, and bassist Billy Sherwood.

    Over the years, the band released 22 studio albums, 18 live albums, 37 compilation albums, 39 singles, and 22 videos.

    Yes are one of the most successful and longest-lasting progressive rock bands in the world. To date, they sold 13.5 million RIAA-certified albums in the US, and more than 30 million albums worldwide.

    In 1985, they won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance, and received five Grammy nominations between 1985 and 1992. They were ranked No. 94 on VH1’s 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.

    In April 2017, Yes was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, with current and former members Anderson, Squire, Bruford, Kaye, Howe, Wakeman, White, and Rabin.

     

    THE VENUE

    Teatro Dal Verme is a theater in Milan, located on Via San Giovanni sul Muro, on the site of the former private theater Politeama Ciniselli. It was designed by Giuseppe Pestagalli in the 19th century, and was used primarily for plays and opera performances. Today, the theater is a venue for concerts, plays and dance performances, as well as exhibitions and conferences.

    The closest Metro station is Cairoli, on the Metro Line M1, located about 130 meters away. The closest bus stop, with the same name, is right in front of the theater, and you can get there with the buses 50 or 61. You can reach the same station with the tram Line 1.
