The Finnish band Apocalyptica will perform on Sunday, March 19, 2023, starting with 7.00 pm, at the Fabrique Club, in Milan. The concert is part of The Epic Apocalypse tour, featuring the Dutch band Epica.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the concert was postponed from October 23, 2020, first to March 7, 2021, then to January 16, 2022, and finally to March 19, 2023. Tickets already purchased remain valid for the new date.
THE BAND
Apocalyptica is a symphonic metal band from Helsinki, formed in 1993. The band is composed of classically trained cellists Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen, Perttu Kivilaakso and drummer Mikko Sirén.
In 1996, Apocalyptica released their debut studio album, Plays Metallica by Four Cellos, which consisted of eight Metallica covers. The band released their second studio album, Inquisition Symphony, in 1998, which contained covers of Metallica and other metal bands such as Faith No More, Sepultura and Pantera, but also three original songs. Their third studio album, Cult, was released in 2000, and their fourth studio album, Reflections, in 2003, the first one containing only original songs.
Apocalyptica released their self-titled fifth studio album in 2005, which featured Ville Valo of HIM and Lauri Ylönen of the Rasmus. Their sixth studio album, Worlds Collide, was released in 2007, and their seventh studio album, entitled 7th Symphony, was released in 2010.
Their eighth studio album, entitled Shadowmaker, with Franky Perez singing on all vocal tracks, was released in 2015. The band’s ninth instrumental studio album, Cell-0, was released on January 10, 2020. To date, they sold over four million albums worldwide.
THE VENUE
Fabrique is a club located on the outskirts of Milan, in Via Gaudenzio Fantoli, 9. The closest railway station is Milano Rogoredo, located about 3 kilometers away. From the train station, you can take the bus Line 88 and get off in Via Gaudenzio Fantoli, about 50 meters from the club.
You can also reach the club by tram, taking the Line 27 up to the intersection of Via Mecenate and Via Fantoli, about 160 meters away.
