    The concert of the American rock band Aerosmith, scheduled for Friday, June 10, 2022, at the Ippodromo Milano Trenno, in Milan, as part of the I-Days Festival 2022, was cancelled.

    THE BAND

    Aerosmith was formed in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1970. The group consists of Steven Tyler (vocals, keyboards), Joe Perry (guitar), Tom Hamilton (bass), Joey Kramer (drums) and Brad Whitford (guitar).

    Aerosmith is the best-selling American hard rock band of all time, with more than 150 million records sold worldwide, including over 70 million units in the United States alone. With 25 gold albums, 18 platinum albums and 12 multi-platinum albums, they hold the record for the most total certifications by an American band.

    Over time, the band received four Grammy Awards, six American Music Awards and ten MTV Video Music Awards. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.

     

    THE FESTIVAL

    The I-Days Festival, formerly known as the Independent Days Festival, was born in 1999, in Bologna. The 2009 and 2018 editions were held in Milan and the 2016 edition took place in Monza.

    Over time, many important bands and artists performed on the stage of the festival, among which we can mention Blink-182, Limp Bizkit, Deftones, Muse, Coldplay, Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Deep Purple, Arcade Fire, Green Day, Radiohead, Linkin Park, Pearl Jam, The Killers, Placebo and Liam Gallagher.

    Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 edition of the festival was first postponed to 2021, and then rescheduled to 2022.

     

    THE VENUE

    Ippodromo Milano Trenno is a new arena created by Snaitech within the historic equestrian center of San Siro Hippodrome (Ippodromo Snai San Siro). The space is destined for the organization of major musical events and festivals, a beautiful urban location surrounded by greenery.

    The closest Metro stop is San Siro Stadio, on the Metro Line M5, located about 900 meters away. The closest bus stop, a few tens of meters away, is in Via Pinerolo Civ. 76, on the bus Line 78.
