The American guitarist Joe Satriani will perform on Tuesday, April 30, 2023, starting with 8.45 pm, at Teatro Verdi, in Florence.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the concert, initially planned for May 12, 2020, and then postponed to May 26, 2021, and to May 24, 2022, was rescheduled to April 30, 2023. Tickets already purchased remain valid for the new date.
Besides the concert in Florence, Joe Satriani will also appear on stage in Milan, on April 24, 2023, in Naples, on April 26, 2023, in Lecce, on April 28, 2023, in Rome, on April 29, 2023, and in Bologna, on May 2, 2023.
THE ARTIST
Joseph Satriani was born in 1956, in Long Island. He began playing the guitar at age 14, influenced by Jimi Hendrix. A few years later, he began taking jazz lessons.
In 1988, Satriani was recruited by Mick Jagger as lead guitarist for his solo tour. The artist briefly toured with Deep Purple, joining shortly after the departure of Ritchie Blackmore in 1993. He was also the guitarist for the supergroup Chickenfoot since 2008, and collaborated over time with Blue Öyster Cult, Stuart Hamm, Alice Cooper and Spinal Tap.
Since his self-titled debut EP in 1984, the artist released seventeen studio albums, three of which received Gold certification in the United States and one went Platinum, five live albums, five compilations, and four extended plays.
Joe Satriani is a 15-time Grammy Award nominee. To date, he sold over 10 million albums worldwide, making him the best-selling instrumental rock guitarist of all time.
