City Sightseeing Palermo offers Hop On Hop Off bus tours in Palermo, allowing complete freedom of movement and providing a multilingual commentary containing many anecdotes and historical references.

Get on the double-deckers and discover Palermo’s top attractions, including famous monuments such as the Teatro Politeama, Teatro Massimo, Palazzo dei Normanni, Zisa, Piazza Quattro Canti, as well as the colorful Vucciria Market, some wonderful villas and the Botanical Garden.

ROUTES

The service is divided between the Line A, which allows you to admire the splendors of the historical center of the city, and the Line B, which shows the Liberty city area, the main villas and the Zisa Castle.

Both Line A and Line B depart from Teatro Politeama, in Via Emerico Amari 142. A complete trip takes about 60 minutes with the Line A and about 50 minutes with the Line B.

A further route reaches the Cathedral of Monreale, a famous Norman jewel, built by William II of Altavilla, located on the Rocca Di Monreale. The Line Palermo-Monreale has the same starting point as the other lines and a full trip takes about 2 hours.

TIMETABLE

LINE A: Between March 24 and November 4, the first departure is at 9.30 am and the last at 5.00 pm. Between July 1 and September 15, the last departure is at 6.00 pm. The frequency of the buses is about 30 minutes.

Between November 5 and March 23, there are only 3 departures during the working days (at 10.00 am, 11.00 am and 12.00 pm) and 7 departures on weekends, between 10.00 am and 1.00 pm, with buses departing every 30 minutes.

LINE B: Between March 24 and November 4, there are 7 departures between 12.00 pm and 5.00 pm. Between November 5 and March 23, there is only one departure during the working days, at 1.00 pm, and 2 departures on the weekends, at 13.30 pm and 14.30 pm.

The LINE PALERMO-MONREALE operates between April and October, with 6 departures every day (9.40 am, 10.30 am, 11.30 am, 12.30 pm, 15.00 pm and 16.00 pm).

FARES

A ticket valid for 24 hours on both lines (A+B) costs 20€. For children age 5 to 15, a ticket costs 10€.
