The German rock band Scorpions will perform on Monday, May 23, 2022, starting with 8.00 pm, in Verona, at the Arena di Verona, as part of their Rock Believer World Tour 2022.

THE BAND
Scorpions was formed in 1965 in Hanover by Rudolf Schenker. The current line-up of the band consists of Schenker (rhythm and lead guitar, backing vocals), Klaus Meine (lead vocals), Matthias Jabs (lead and rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Paweł Mąciwoda (bass, backing vocals), and Mikkey Dee (drums).
During their career, Scorpions sold over 110 million records worldwide. They released 18 studio albums, 27 compilation albums and 74 singles. Six of their singles reached number one on the charts in different countries. Their albums, singles, compilations and video releases reached gold, platinum and multi-platinum status 200 times in different countries.
Scorpions’ eleventh studio album, Crazy World, released in 1990, included the song Wind of Change, a symbolic anthem of the political changes in Eastern Europe in the late 1980s and early 1990s and the fall of the Berlin Wall. Wind of Changes is one of the best-selling singles in the world, with over 14 million copies sold.
Scorpions received prestigious awards such as 3 World Music Awards, a star on the Hollywood Rock wall, and a presence in the permanent exhibition of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2015, the group celebrated its 50th anniversary.
THE VENUE
Arena di Verona is a Roman amphitheater located in the historical center of Verona, in Piazza Bra. The Arena is one of the best preserved amphitheaters in the world, the eighth Roman amphitheater in the world by size and the fourth among those located in Italy.
Arena di Verona is located about 1.5 kilometers from the Verona Porta Nuova railway station. The closest bus stop is near the Arena, on the bus Lines 11, 12, 13, 51, 52, 78, 90, 92, 94, 96, 97, 98, 102, 161, 162, 163, 164 and 165.
