Besides the concert in Verona, Peter Gabriel will also appear on stage at the Mediolanum Forum, in Assago, near Milan, on Sunday, May 21, 2023.

PETER GABRIEL

Peter Gabriel rose to fame as the original lead singer of the progressive rock band Genesis. After leaving Genesis in 1975, he launched a successful solo career.

His fifth studio album, So, released in 1986, is his best-selling album and is certified triple platinum in the UK and five times platinum in the US. The album’s most successful single, Sledgehammer, won a record nine MTV Awards at the 1987 MTV Video Music Awards and it was MTV’s most played music video of all time.

His discography includes 9 studio albums, 4 soundtrack albums, 6 live albums, 6 compilation albums, 45 singles and 30 music videos.

During his career, Peter Gabriel won three Brit Awards – Best British Male in 1987, six Grammy Awards, thirteen MTV Video Music Awards, the first Pioneer Award at the BT Digital Music Awards, the Q magazine Lifetime Achievement, the Ivor Novello Award for Lifetime Achievement, and the Polar Music Prize.

He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Genesis in 2010, and as a solo artist in 2014.

Arena di Verona is a Roman amphitheater located in the historical center of Verona, in Piazza Bra. The Arena is one of the best preserved amphitheaters in the world, the eighth Roman amphitheater in the world by size and the fourth among those located in Italy.
