Alborosie @ Sherwood Festival 2018

On Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018, at Park Nord Stadio Euganeo, in Padua, Alborosie will sing at the Sherwood Festival 2018. He will be accompanied by The Shengen Clan Band.

Alborosie, whose real name is Alberto D’Ascola, was born in Messina, Sicily. During his teenage years in Milan, he joined the Reggae National Tickets, who tour Europe regularly in the second half of the ‘90s.

When the band was invited to play in Jamaica, Alborosie decided to leave the group and stay there. He soon found himself working as an engineer at Gee Studios in Portland, where he was in contact with many notable Jamaican artists.

Alborosie has produced a number of critically acclaimed albums – the debut album Soul Pirate, Escape To Babylon (2009), 2 Times Revolution (2011), Sound the System and Dub The System (2013), Alborosie Meets King Jammy – Dub Of Thrones (2015) and finally Freedom & Fyah.

For 2018, it is expected the release of the new album recorded in collaboration with some of the original members of The Wailers, the legendary band that has accompanied the musical career of Bob Marley.
