The American singer Ben Harper will perform on Sunday, July 17, 2022, starting with 9:00 pm, in Piazza Napoleone, in Lucca, as part of the Lucca Summer Festival 2022. He will be accompanied by The Innocent Criminals.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the concert, initially planned for July 17, 2020, was postponed first to July 18, 2021, and then to July 17, 2022. Tickets already purchased remain valid for the new date.
During 2022, in Italy, besides the concert in Lucca, Ben Harper will also appear on stage in Marostica, on July 13, in Nichelino, on July 19, in Palmanova, on August 2, in Rome, on August 4, in Taormina, on August 6, and in Brescia, on August 11.
THE ARTIST
Benjamin Chase Harper is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who plays an eclectic mix of blues, folk, soul, reggae and rock. Between 1994 and 2018, he released fourteen studio albums, five live albums, two digital albums, three concert films and three miscellaneous albums.
Ben Harper is a three-time Grammy Award winner and seven-time nominee. He has four albums and one single that have been certified Gold by the RIAA.

THE FESTIVAL
The first edition of the Lucca Summer Festival was held in 1998, when Bob Dylan, George Benson and Joe Cocker performed on stage.
Over time, important names attended the festival, among which we can mention David Bowie, James Brown, Mark Knopfler, Jamiroquai, Seal, Zucchero, Ray Charles, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Paul Simon, Rod Stewart, Oasis, Anastacia, Giorgia, Green Day, Ennio Morricone and The Rolling Stones.
THE VENUE
Piazza Napoleone is the main square of Lucca, and one of the places where, every year in the summer, is held one of the most important music festivals in Italy, the Lucca Summer Festival.
Piazza Napoleone is located inside the city walls of Lucca, about 650 meters away from the Lucca train station. The closest bus stop is Napoleone, located in the northwestern corner of the square, on the bus Lines 5, LAM Blu and LAM Verde.
