BEN HARPER

Ben Harper is a gifted singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for his eclectic blend of rock, blues, folk, soul, and reggae.

Born on October 28, 1969, in Pomona, California, Harper’s unique sound and socially conscious lyrics have made him a respected figure in modern music for more than three decades.

His ability to seamlessly fuse genres while delivering poignant messages has earned him both critical acclaim and a loyal fan base worldwide.

Harper’s musical journey began at a young age, heavily influenced by his family. His maternal grandparents owned the Folk Music Center and Museum in Claremont, California, which exposed him to a rich tapestry of musical traditions.

This early exposure to folk, blues, and world music shaped Harper’s eclectic approach to his craft. He began playing the guitar as a child and quickly gravitated towards the slide guitar, an instrument that would become his signature sound.

His admiration for blues legends such as Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters combined with a love for classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin and folk icons like Bob Dylan, gave his music a distinctive depth and authenticity.
