Gorillaz

Gorillaz were formed in 1998 by English musician and producer Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett.

Conceived as a response to what they perceived as the superficiality of the mainstream music industry, Gorillaz were designed as a virtual band, with animated members representing the group instead of traditional musicians.

This innovative concept allowed Albarn and Hewlett to explore music and visual art simultaneously, creating a multimedia project unlike anything that had come before.

The fictional band consists of four animated characters: 2D (lead vocals and keyboards), Murdoc Niccals (bass guitar), Noodle (guitar, keyboards, and vocals), and Russel Hobbs (drums and percussion).

The Venue – Piazza Unità d’Italia

Piazza Unità d’Italia is the main square of Trieste and one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. Located at the foot of San Giusto Hill, the rectangular piazza opens directly onto the Gulf of Trieste, creating a dramatic and rare connection between urban architecture and the sea.

With an area of 12,280 square meters, Piazza Unità d’Italia is widely considered the largest seafront square in Europe.
