On Monday, 6 July 2026, three of rock’s most influential bands – System of a Down, Queens of the Stone Age, and Acid Bath – will share the stage on the same day at the I-Days Festival in Milan.

The concert begins at 4:00 PM (16:00) and will take place at Ippodromo SNAI La Maura (also known as Ippodromo Milano Trenno).

This promises to be one of the most intense and memorable rock evenings of the entire 2026 edition of the I-Days Festival.
 

System of a Down

System of a Down is an American alternative metal band formed in California in 1994, widely recognized for their explosive blend of heavy metal, punk energy, Armenian folk influences, and politically charged lyrics.

The lineup features Serj Tankian (vocals, keyboards), Daron Malakian (guitar, vocals), Shavo Odadjian (bass), and John Dolmayan (drums).

Their sound – at once chaotic, melodic, and deeply expressive – has made them one of the most distinctive and influential bands of the 2000s.

Their discography includes five studio albums, each shaping modern metal in significant ways.

The band’s self-titled debut album, System of a Down (1998), introduced their raw, unpredictable style. They achieved worldwide fame with Toxicity (2001), often regarded as their masterpiece, featuring iconic songs such as Chop Suey!, Aerials, and Toxicity.

In 2002, they released Steal This Album!, a collection of tracks that further showcased their versatility.

In 2005, System of a Down released the companion albums Mezmerize and Hypnotize, both immediately topping international charts.
 

Queens of the Stone Age

Queens of the Stone Age (QOTSA) is an American rock band formed in 1996 by vocalist and guitarist Josh Homme.

Known for their hypnotic riffs, desert-rock aesthetics, and dark, seductive sound, QOTSA has become one of the most acclaimed and influential alternative rock bands of the past three decades.

Over the years, the band’s lineup has changed frequently, but Homme’s creative vision has remained the driving force behind their evolving sound.

QOTSA’s discography includes eight studio albums, each adding a new layer to their identity.

Their 1998 self-titled debut introduced their minimalist, riff-driven approach to rock. With Rated R (2000), the band expanded their sonic palette and gained wider recognition through songs like The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret.

They achieved mainstream breakthrough with Songs for the Deaf (2002), featuring Dave Grohl on drums and delivering hits such as No One Knows and Go With the Flow.

Later albums – including Lullabies to Paralyze (2005), Era Vulgaris (2007), and …Like Clockwork (2013) – showcased the band’s ability to fuse heaviness, groove, and experimental elements.

Their more recent releases, such as Villains (2017) and In Times New Roman… (2023), demonstrate QOTSA’s continued evolution, balancing polished production with gritty, desert-rock roots.
 

Acid Bath

Acid Bath is an American sludge metal band formed in Louisiana in the early 1990s, known for their dark lyrical themes, heavy riffs, and distinctive fusion of doom, death metal, and gothic influences.

Although their active years were brief, Acid Bath achieved cult status thanks to their unique sound and the profoundly emotional intensity of their music.

Acid Bath released two studio albums, both of which have become milestones of the sludge genre.

Their debut album, When the Kite String Pops (1994), is praised for its raw production, haunting atmosphere, and unsettling lyrical imagery; the cover art, a painting by serial killer John Wayne Gacy, added to the album’s notoriety.

In 1996, the band released their second and final album, Paegan Terrorism Tactics, which showcased a more refined yet equally ferocious sound, blending melodic passages with crushing heaviness.

Tragically, Acid Bath’s career ended after the death of bassist Audie Pitre in a car accident in 1997, but they announced a reunion in October 2024.
 

I-Days Festival 2026

I‑Days Milano Coca-Cola 2026 (I-Days Festival) remains one of Italy’s primary summer rock/alternative festivals – born in 1999 as the Independent Days Festival.

Over the years, it evolved beyond underground punk and alternative roots to draw major international rock, metal, and mainstream acts.

The Venue – Ippodromo Milano Trenno

The concert will be hosted at Ippodromo Milano Trenno, located at Via Lampugnano 95, 20151 Milan, MI, Italy.

This venue is a horse-racecourse/ hippodrome which for festival purposes becomes a large open-air concert space – ideal for big audiences and major rock events.

For those attending from within or outside Milan, reaching La Maura is generally done via public transport (metro, local buses or suburban rail) to central transit hubs, then switching to local transport or taxi to reach Via Lampugnano.

The closest Metro stop is San Siro Stadio, on the Metro Line M5, about 1 kilometer away. The closest bus stop is in Via Pinerolo 76, on the bus Line 78. The closest tram stop is San Siro Stadio, located about 1.5 kilometers away, on the tram Line 16.
