THE BAND
The band was formed in Melbourne in 1983 by vocalist Nick Cave, multi-instrumentalist Mick Harvey and guitarist Blixa Bargeld. The band’s current line-up consists of Cave, violinist and multi-instrumentalist Warren Ellis, bassist Martyn P. Casey, guitarist George Vjestica, keyboardist & percussionist Toby Dammit and drummers Thomas Wydler and Jim Sclavunos.
To date, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds released seventeen studio albums, four live albums, three compilation albums, thirty-six singles, five video albums and thirty-nine music videos.
Their debut album, From Her to Eternity, was released in 1984. In 1985, The Firstborn Is Dead appeared, and then Kicking Against the Pricks in 1986, Your Funeral… My Trial in 1986, Tender Prey in 1988, The Good Son in 1990, Henry’s Dream in 1992, Let Love In in 1994, Murder Ballads in 1996, The Boatman’s Call in 1997, No More Shall We Part in 2001, Nocturama in 2003, Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus in 2004, Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! in 2008, Push the Sky Away in 2013 and Skeleton Tree in 2016.
The band’s seventeenth studio album, Ghosteen, was released on October 4, 2019, to widespread critical acclaim.
THE VENUE
Arena di Verona is a Roman amphitheater located in the historical center of Verona, in Piazza Bra. The Arena is one of the best preserved amphitheaters in the world, the eighth Roman amphitheater in the world by size and the fourth among those located in Italy.
Arena di Verona is located in Piazza Bra, about 1.5 kilometers from the Verona Porta Nuova railway station. The closest bus stop is near the Arena, on the bus Lines 11, 12, 13, 51, 52, 78, 90, 92, 94, 96, 97, 98, 102, 161, 162, 163, 164 and 165.
