The Australian band Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will perform on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at the Mediolanum Forum, in Assago, part of the Metropolitan City of Milan.
THE BAND
The band was formed in Melbourne in 1983 by vocalist Nick Cave, multi-instrumentalist Mick Harvey and guitarist Blixa Bargeld. Today, the band consists of Cave, violinist and multi-instrumentalist Warren Ellis, bassist Martyn P. Casey, guitarist George Vjestica, keyboardist & percussionist Toby Dammit and drummers Thomas Wydler and Jim Sclavunos.
To date, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds released seventeen studio albums and completed numerous worldwide tours.
Their debut album, From Her to Eternity, was released in 1984. In 1985, it was released The Firstborn Is Dead, and then Kicking Against the Pricks in 1986, Your Funeral… My Trial in 1986, Tender Prey in 1988, The Good Son in 1990, Henry’s Dream in 1992, Let Love In in 1994, Murder Ballads in 1996, The Boatman’s Call in 1997, No More Shall We Part in 2001, Nocturama in 2003, Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus in 2004, Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! in 2008, Push the Sky Away in 2013 and Skeleton Tree in 2016.
Their seventeenth studio album, Ghosteen, was released on October 4, 2019, to widespread critical acclaim.
THE VENUE
The Mediolanum Forum is an indoor sports arena located in Assago, about 8 kilometers from the center of Milan. The arena has a seating capacity of 12,700 and is used primarily for sporting events and concerts.
The Mediolanum Forum is located about 450 meters away from the Assago Milanofiori Forum Metro station, which can be reached with the Metro Line M2.
