The English band Muse will perform on Friday and Saturday, July 12 and 13, 2019, at the Meazza Stadium, in Milan, as part of their Simulation Theory World tour.
THE BAND
Muse was formed in 1994 and consists of Matt Bellamy, the lead vocalist, Chris Wolstenholme, at bass guitar, and Dominic Howard, at drums.
Muse released their debut album, Showbiz, in 1999, followed by Origin of Symmetry, in 2001, Absolution, in 2003, Black Holes and Revelations, in 2006, The Resistance, in 2009, and The 2nd Law, in 2012. Their seventh album, Drones, was released in 2015, and their last album to date, Simulation Theory, was released in 2018.
Over time, Muse won numerous awards, including two Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, five MTV Europe Music Awards and eight NME Awards. In 2012, they received the Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. To date, the band sold over 20 million albums worldwide.
THE VENUE
The Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, commonly known as San Siro, is a football stadium in Milan, the home of AC Milan and Internazionale. The stadium has a seating capacity of 80,018, making it one of the largest stadiums in Europe, and the largest in Italy.
The closest Metro station is San Siro Stadio, on the Metro Line M5. The closest bus station is right in front of the Metro station, and it can be reached with the bus Lines 49, 64, 78 and 80. The closest tram station, with the same name, is located about 280 meters away from the stadium, on the tram Line 16.
