Tropea Blues Festival 2018

Tropea Blues Festival is a musical event held every year in Tropea, whose main interest is the Blues music. The festival is characterized by concerts on the streets of the historical center of Tropea, of various Blues groups.

The Festival was founded in 2005 as Street of Blues, under the management of the Tropea Blues Association, changing its name over time to the current Tropea Blues Festival.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness for this type of music and, at the same time, to contribute to the development of cultural tourism on the whole territory of the Coast of the Gods and for the whole region of Calabria.

The artists will have to play among the people, recreating the magical atmosphere that only the Blues genre can create. In order to do this, fixed boxes will be installed on the streets and squares of the historical center of Tropea, and the magical atmosphere of New Orleans will appear.

During the day, the event will include thematic meetings, seminars and conferences about the history of the Blues, books and music albums will be presented and the artist of the year will be awarded.

Tropea Blues Festival will also pay particular attention to emerging groups (national and international), creating within the event itself an award ceremony for the emerging group of the year.

TROPEA BLUES FESTIVAL 2018, the 13th Edition, will take place between September 20 and 22, and in the next weekend, on September 28 and 29, when the streets of Tropea will be filled with the Blues music.
