SHORT HISTORY OF THE GOA-BOA FESTIVAL

The Goa-Boa Festival was born in 1998, when it was organized for the first time in Genoa by the Psyco Cultural Association, in collaboration with the Municipality of Genoa, the Province of Genoa and the Liguria Region.

The Goa-Boa Festival combines popular music alongside niche music, welcoming artists of national and international fame, but also paying attention to emerging local artists, making them perform on the same stage, with the same audio system and with the same audience.

Over time, on the stage of the festival performed artists like Guano Apes, Emir Kusturica & No Smoking Orchestra, Manu Chao, Tricky, Faithless, Kings of Leon, The Streets, Groove Armada, Beck, Franz Ferdinand, and Alborosie.

The Goa-Boa Festival was defined as the biggest music festival in Liguria.

THE LINEUP OF THE GOA-BOA FESTIVAL 2023

So far, the artists announced for the Goa-Boa Festival 2023 are:

The concert, originally scheduled for September 10, 2022, was postponed for July 8, 2023. Tickets already purchased remain valid for the new date.

THE VENUE OF THE GOA-BOA FESTIVAL 2023

Arena del Mare is located in Via a Calata Gadda, in Porto Antico di Genova (Ancient Port of Genoa).

Arena del Mare is a square by the sea which, during the summer, is transformed into an open-air theater, a spectacular stage for major events.

Arena del Mare has a capacity of about 5000 people and is suitable for concerts of international importance.

The closest Metro station is San Giorgio, located about 1 kilometer away, in Via della Mercanzia. Near the Metro station, there is the bus stop Turati, on the bus Line 13.
