Roberto Herrera in “Tango Nuevo”

Tango Nuevo is a dance show put on stage by the dancer and choreographer Roberto Herrera, that will be held on Saturday, 17 February 2018, from 9.15 pm, in the Teatro Nuovo Gian Carlo Menotti from Spoleto.

Tango Nuevo is a hypnotic journey, where the bodies become lighter in the universal embrace of the Argentine tango, on a journey that starts from the streets of Buenos Aires to the landscapes of Tierra del Fuego. Roberto Herrera, incarnation of the deepest Argentine popular culture, will relive this journey on stage.

Special guest of the evening will be Estanislao Herrera, true master of Argentine tango and folklore, who brought the art and the culture of his land to the five continents, performing with the best exponents of contemporary tango.

First dancers will be Roberto Herrera and Laura Legazcue. Besides them, will perform Estanislao Herrera, Paola Gerace, Fabian Irusquibelar, Cristina Luizaga, Juan Ruggieri and Agustina Piaggio.

The original Argentine music will be played live by the Marilì Machado (voice and guitar) and the quartet Lo que vendra, composed of Simone Marini (bandeneon), Daniela Fidenza (piano), Mario Pace (violin) and Francesco Terra (double bass).
