The American singer Lana del Rey will perform in Verona, on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at the Arena di Verona, as part of her Norman Fucking Rockwell! tour.
THE ARTIST
Elizabeth Woolridge Grant was born in New York City and raised in Upstate New York. In 2005, she returned to New York to embark on her music career.
After the release of her debut album entitled Lana del Rey in 2010, she rose to fame in 2011, after the viral success of her debut single Video Games. In the same year, she signed with Interscope and Polydor. Her second album, Born to Die, released one year later, proved an international success.
Also in 2012, Del Rey released the Grammy-nominated EP Paradise. The next year, Del Rey ventured into film as she wrote, directed and starred in the short music film Tropico.
Del Rey subsequently released her sophomore album, Ultraviolence, in 2014, to critical success, topping the charts. In 2015, she released the critically acclaimed Honeymoon and, in 2017, her fifth album, Lust for Life, which was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album.
Del Rey’s sixth studio album, Norman Fucking Rockwell, was released on August 30, 2019, to widespread acclaim.
THE VENUE
Arena di Verona is a Roman amphitheater located in the historical center of Verona, in Piazza Bra. The Arena is one of the best preserved amphitheaters in the world, the eighth Roman amphitheater in the world by size and the fourth among those located in Italy.
Arena di Verona is located in Piazza Bra, about 1.5 kilometers from the Verona Porta Nuova railway station. The closest bus stop is near the Arena, on the bus Lines 11, 12, 13, 51, 52, 78, 90, 92, 94, 96, 97, 98, 102, 161, 162, 163, 164 and 165.
