Arezzo Antique Fair (Fiera Antiquaria) is the oldest and largest fair of its kind in Italy, established in 1968, and held continuously ever since, in the first Sunday of the month and the Saturday before, in Piazza Grande, Piazza San Francesco, Corso Italia and on the streets of the historical center of the city.

At each edition of the fair, hundreds of exhibitors offer to thousands of visitors from all over the world their art objects, furniture, jewels, clocks, books and antique prints, scientific and musical instruments, toys and all kinds of collectibles. For those who are not fond of antiquities, the fair offers a vast assortment of modern and vintage products.

The Antique Fair in Arezzo has always been considered the biggest and the most beautiful among all the outdoor antique markets, thanks also to the extraordinary historical and architectural context in which it takes place.

It has been estimated that each current edition of the fair is visited by an average of 20,000 people, including, of course, many tourists.

SHORT HISTORY

After a period of abandonment and marginalization of the upper part of the city, also due to the bombings of the Second World War that had demolished many buildings, Fiera Antiquaria was inaugurated on the occasion of the Day of the Republic, on June 2, 1968, in Piazza Grande.

The Antique Fair was conceived by the Arezzo antique dealer Ivan Bruschi, inspired by the famous open-air markets in London and Paris. Encouraged by the growing success of the fair in the years to come, Bruschi also promoted a series of events that attracted the attention of the Italian and international public, consolidating the Arezzo market as the largest in Italy.

Today, in the historical center of the city, in close connection with the fair, about 100 little shops are open all year round.
