As part of the Sequoie Music Park 2026 summer concert series, this show represents one of the most anticipated rock nights of the season.
Known for their powerful live performances, emotionally charged lyrics, and a catalog filled with modern rock anthems, Three Days Grace are expected to draw a large international crowd to Bologna.
Three Days Grace
Three Days Grace were formed in 1997 in Norwood, Ontario, Canada. Originally operating under the name Groundswell, the band later rebranded as Three Days Grace, a name inspired by the idea of having three days to change one’s life after hitting rock bottom.
From the beginning, their music focused on raw emotion, personal struggle, resilience, and inner conflict – themes that would later become central to their global appeal.
The band achieved international recognition with their self-titled debut album, Three Days Grace (2003).
The album featured breakthrough singles such as I Hate Everything About You and Just Like You, which received extensive airplay on rock radio stations across North America and Europe.
The debut album was certified multi-platinum in several countries and established the band as a major force in post-grunge and alternative metal.
Their second album, One-X (2006), marked a defining moment in the band’s career. Widely regarded as their most influential release, One-X included chart-topping tracks such as Animal I Have Become, Pain, Never Too Late, and Riot.
The album debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 and has since sold over five million copies worldwide, achieving multi-platinum status in the United States and Canada. One-X is often cited as one of the most successful modern rock albums of the 2000s.
In 2009, Three Days Grace released Life Starts Now, an album that showcased a slightly more melodic and introspective sound while maintaining their trademark intensity.
Singles like Break, The Good Life, and World So Cold reinforced their dominance on the rock charts and contributed to continued strong album sales.
The band’s fourth studio album, Transit of Venus (2012), represented the final release featuring original lead vocalist Adam Gontier. The album included songs such as Chalk Outline and The High Road and debuted within the top ten of several international charts.
Shortly after its release, Gontier departed from the band, marking a significant turning point in Three Days Grace’s history.
In 2013, Matt Walst, formerly of My Darkest Days, joined as the new lead vocalist. With Walst, the band entered a new era, beginning with the album Human (2015).
The record was well received by fans and critics alike and produced successful singles such as Painkiller and I Am Machine. Human demonstrated that Three Days Grace could evolve while preserving their core identity.
Subsequent albums Outsider (2018) and Explosions (2022) further solidified the band’s relevance in modern rock. Songs like The Mountain, Infra-Red, and So Called Life continued their streak of number-one hits on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart.
As of the mid-2020s, Three Days Grace have achieved over 17 number-one singles on the chart, making them one of the most successful rock bands of the era in this category.
In terms of awards, Three Days Grace have won multiple Juno Awards, including Rock Album of the Year, and have received numerous nominations from organizations such as the Billboard Music Awards and Kerrang!.
Their music has accumulated billions of streams worldwide, reflecting a sustained and loyal global fan base.

Sequoie Music Park 2026
The Sequoie Music Park is one of Italy’s most distinctive summer music events, held annually in Bologna.
Launched in 2019, the festival was conceived as a way to merge high-quality live music with a strong connection to nature.
Rather than functioning as a single multi-day festival, Sequoie Music Park is structured as a curated series of concerts spread across June and July, allowing audiences to attend individual performances in a relaxed and sustainable format.
Over the years, Sequoie Music Park has hosted a diverse range of international and Italian artists, covering genres from rock and indie to electronic, alternative, jazz, and experimental music.
The 2026 edition continues this tradition with an eclectic lineup.
Alongside Three Days Grace, artists scheduled to perform at Sequoie Music Park 2026 include Of Monsters and Men, Mac DeMarco, Nu Genea, IDLES, Caparezza, Opeth, Belle and Sebastian, and Interpol.
Three Days Grace’s concert on 23 June 2026 stands out as one of the heaviest and most energetic performances of the season, offering a contrast to the more indie, electronic, and experimental sounds featured on other nights.
The Venue – Parco delle Caserme Rosse
The layout of Parco delle Caserme Rosse plays a crucial role in creating an atmosphere that is both intimate and expansive.
Unlike traditional concert venues, which are often enclosed and artificial, Parco delle Caserme Rosse allows concertgoers to be surrounded by nature.
Parco delle Caserme Rosse is located about 6 kilometers north from the center of Bologna and about 5 kilometers away from the Bologna Centrale railway station.
The closest bus stop is Caserme Rosse, near the park, on the bus Lines 27, 62, 77, 97, 98, 181, 354, 441, 445, 447, 448, and 504.
