Shawn Mendes – Wonder: The World Tour 2023

The Canadian singer Shawn Mendes will perform on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, starting with 8.00 pm, at the Unipol Arena, in Casalecchio di Reno, near Bologna, as part of his Wonder tour.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the concert was postponed from April 2, 2022, to May 31, 2023. Tickets already purchased remain valid for the new date.

Besides the concert in Bologna, Shawn Mendes will also perform on June 1, 2023, at the Mediolanum Forum, in Assago, near Milan.

THE ARTIST

Shawn Mendes’s self-titled debut EP was released in 2014, followed by his debut studio album, Handwritten, in 2015, which debuted atop the US Billboard 200.

His second studio album, Illuminate, released in 2016, also debuted at number one in the US. His self-titled third studio album, released in 2018, made him the third-youngest artist to achieve three number one albums in the US.

His fourth studio album, Wonder, released in 2020, made him the youngest male artist ever to top the Billboard 200 with four studio albums.

His discography consists of four studio albums, two live albums, two reissues, three extended plays, 20 music videos, twenty singles, and nine promotional singles. To date, he sold over 20 million albums and 175 million singles worldwide.

Over time, Shawn Mendes won 13 SOCAN awards, 10 MTV Europe Music Awards, eight Juno Awards, eight iHeartRadio MMVAs, two American Music Awards, and received three nominations for a Grammy Award and one nomination for a Brit Award.

THE VENUE

Unipol Arena is an indoor arena opened in 1993, located in Casalecchio di Reno, about 6 kilometers away from Bologna. The arena has a capacity of 18,000 seats.

From Bologna, you can reach the arena by train. From Bologna Centrale, you can take the train to the Casalecchio Palasport railway station, located about 100 meters away from the Unipol Arena. You can also get there by bus, with one of the extraurban bus Lines 83, 94 and 671.
