About ITALYscapes
ITALYscapes is an independent travel guide dedicated entirely to Italy. Our goal is to help travelers discover the country through its cities, historic towns, landmarks, cultural events, architecture, traditions and landscapes, combining practical travel information with the curiosity and attention to detail that come from exploring destinations in person.
Our knowledge of Italy has been shaped by years of travelling throughout the country and by visits to more than 100 Italian cities and towns. From internationally known destinations to smaller historic centers, we explore places on foot, photograph their landmarks and observe the details that often make one destination feel completely different from another.
Much of the content published on ITALYscapes begins with first-hand experience. We visit churches, squares, museums, monuments, neighborhoods and event venues, documenting what travelers are likely to encounter. Whenever possible, our own photographs accompany the guides, giving readers a direct visual impression of the places described on the website.
ITALYscapes is designed for travelers who want more than a list of famous attractions. Alongside major destinations, we highlight lesser-known places, local events, architectural details and cultural stories that can make a journey more rewarding. Our aim is to provide useful context while encouraging travelers to explore Italy with curiosity and confidence.
The website continues to grow as we revisit familiar destinations and discover new ones. Information, photographs and guides are updated whenever necessary, while new places and events are added regularly. Our experience across more than 100 Italian cities provides the foundation for a travel guide that remains focused exclusively on Italy.
