About
Panettone Festival is dedicated entirely to the iconic Christmas cake, panettone, an event held in Cefalù between November 30 and December 2, 2018.
Panettone Festival is designed to promote the sweet symbol of Christmas, whose origins are notoriously Milanese, but which in Sicily found an exceptional space, thanks to the pastry chefs who have been able to include in their recipes the local products such as pistachio, almonds and even capers, giving life to many original variations.
Panettone is an Italian sweet bread loaf originally from Milan, usually prepared and enjoyed for Christmas. The cake has a cupola shape and a cylindrical base, and weighs around 1 kg. Usually, it contains candied orange, citron and raisins, and can be coated with chocolate.
